Medicomp Release Information

General Information

Medicomp releases the Quippe and MEDCIN SDKs on a quarterly basis. Updates include bug fixes, enhancements, new concepts and vocabulary updates. The major focus of each release is as follows:

Q1: QPP updates for the current year
Q2: General release
Q3: ICD-10 updates for the next year, applicable October 1.
Q4: CPT updates for the next year, applicable January 1.

Vocabulary Updates

We track the release of each vocabulary we support and ensure the updates in MEDCIN are completed in a timely manner so our clients can pass the updates on to their customers. The following chart includes the list of vocabularies we support and the Quippe/MEDCIN release in which they are included. Please note that the planned release may change based on the release date of the vocabulary.

New Concepts

We are continuously adding new clinical concepts to MEDCIN, largely due to updates in the standard vocabularies that we support. We also add concepts based on client requests. If you are looking for a spcific concept and cannot locate it, please contact support@medicomp.com so we can help locate the concept or create a new concept.

Requests for new terms should be sent at least three weeks prior to the release dates for inclusion in the next release. We will make every effort to ensure all requested terms are included unless there is a large number needed.
